Jeremy Peters, FRSA, MBA (Cantab), is an Assistant Professor of Music (Business and Entrepreneurship) in the Department of Music at Wayne State University and is a co-founder of Quite Scientific Records. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts. He is currently working on an organizational ethnography of the Icelandic popular music industry.
Before academia, he was the Director of Music Publishing for Ghostly International, having built the division at the company. At Ghostly, he worked on projects for visual media with major brands and music supervised the EMMY Award-winning documentary film, “MEDORA.”
Jeremy previously taught at the University of Michigan’s Law School and School of Music, Theatre, and Dance. There, he taught coursework on copyright, problem-solving, entrepreneurship, and the music industry. Jeremy graduated with a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Cambridge’s Judge Business School and is a life member of Clare Hall College. He holds an undergraduate degree with dual concentrations in Music and Political Science from the University of Michigan’s College of Literature, Science and the Arts.
