Michał Mendyk is a Polish music journalist, curator and producer specializing in experimental musical and interdisciplinary projects. He launched the Radical Polish Culture and Opera for the Deaf festivals. As a curator and expert, he cooperated, among others, with the ZKM Karlsruhe center, the Klanforum Wien ensemble, the Mouse on Mars and Matmos duets, the Ableton company, the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival and the Ad Libitum and Sacrum Profanum festivals. He is one of the founders of the Glissando magazine. His book M.U.Z.Y.K.A., which he co-authored with Michał Libera, was translated into Korean, Czech and German as well as nominated for the Deutscher Jugendliteraturpreis (Wie das klingt?). He is currently the editor of the Ruch Muzyczny music magazine. He has been running his own record and book publishing house, Bołt Records, since 2008.
