Heiðrik á Heygum (1983-) Educated from the Danish film school Super16 in 2014 and the Academy of Art of Iceland (LHÍ) in 2017.
Heiðrik is called a renaissance man whose work encompasses music, film, art and often combines all three art forms into one.
Besides releasing 3 solo albums Heiðrik formed the band Kóboykex in 2020 with his friend Sigmund also known from Joe and the Shitboys. Kóboykex is a band which writes about ”hillbilly” type subjects because there is a certain commonality between the local Faroese culture and the American bible-belt. And the band wanted to shine a light on those ”share-values”.
Heiðrik is one of the leading artists and filmmakers of the Faroe Islands producing award-winning films and music videos for well-known Nordic singers and acts as Brimheim, Eivør, Pernille Rosendahl, Janus Rasmussen, ORKA, Marius Ziska, and others.
