Megan Burns

I am an independent Artist Manager working under the umbrella of Tone Artists, based in Liverpool. I began my career in film at the age of 13, winning the ‘Marcello Mastroianni Award’ at the Venice Film Festival for my role in Stephen Frear’s ‘Liam’ as well as landing a prominent role in Danny Boyle’s cult classic ’28 Day Later’. Following this success, I went on to have a career as a recording artist and was signed to Universal Island under the pseudonym ’Betty Curse’ where I released one album, ‘Hear Lies’ in 2006. Now firmly on the management side of the business, I have worked with a number of UK and International artists helping them through various stages of their career. In 2020 I was selected as one of 20 up and coming Managers from across the UK to participate in the MMF’s Accelerator Programme, supported by YouTube Music, Arts Council England, Creative Scotland and the Scottish Music Industry Association (SMIA). My current roster includes Palm Reader (UK), Kælan Mikla (Iceland), blanket (UK).
