Hildur is a songwriter and producer from Iceland, known for her catchy melodies, honest lyrics and clever production. With her upcoming debut LP due later in 2024, she goes back to her indie roots, mixing them with electronic influences while still keeping her signature pop melodies, resulting in a heartfelt, raw and emotional soundscape reminiscent of Kate Bush and Christine and the Queens. After starting her music journey as a teenager in the indie band Rökkurró, as the singer/cellist and touring around Europe, she then took a U-turn into the world of pop. With the release of her first solo single “I’ll Walk With You,” she instantly hit the top of the Icelandic radio charts and received the Icelandic Music Award for pop song of the year, so her pop career started with a bang. Along with releasing 2 EPs, she started an international career of songwriting and producing for other artists. Hildur has also been known for using her platform to speak up and empower other female artists.
