Off-Venue at Edda

Come and enjoy free Iceland Airwaves concerts at Edda, a new landmark building in Reykjavík and home to Iceland’s medieval manuscripts.

Artists Róshildur and Arnljótur will perform a varied program including traditional Icelandic music, electronic sounds, saxophones and dance pop.

The manuscript exhibition World in Words will be open from 10-18.

Arnljótur Sigurðsson serves up a mix of music, dance and stand up, introducing Icelandic folklore and traditional Icelandic music.

Róshildur is the musical alias of the Icelandic/Danish performance artist Anna Róshildur. You will hear loops, samples and a heavy bass, weaved together and layered with a beat made from the sound of a squeaky chair. Róshildur plays and sings alternative pop in Icelandic.

Iceland Airwaves Off-Venues program their own lineup and take place during the Iceland Airwaves week. Off-Venues programs end at 19:00 on festival days, before the official IA schedule starts. It always pays to have a wristband as Off-Venues offer discounts at the bar to IA ticket holders, if there is a bar at the venue. Usually it’s 10% for general wristbands and 20% for Plus wristbands. Show your wristband at the bar to claim your discount.
