ADDING 12 ARTISTS AND REVEALING WHO PLAYS ON WHICH DAY
LET THE FUN FESTIVAL PLANNING BEGIN
Oh, you thought we were done? Think again! We’re here to unveil a dozen more artists, and let’s be real, it’s about time you know who’s rocking out on which day. Your Festival (day) pass isn’t just a ticket; it’s your golden key to your magic musical adventure that awaits (and please note; day passes are limited, so be quick before they sell out)! As we count down to the big event, our excitement levels are off the charts—seriously, we’re practically levitating over here). So grab your planner, your friends, and maybe a snack or two, because this lineup is going to have you dancing like never before! And it always pays to buy now, before the prices go up.
Let’s welcome singer, composer, and documentary maker Izaro, anonymous Basque-trio Merina Gris, and the genre-blending Sila Lua, who join the lineup as part of our first-ever partnership with The Spanish Wave! A collaboration between Iceland, Spain and the Spanish Embassy in Iceland, the partnership celebrates 75 years of diplomatic relationships between the two countries with showcases, drinks receptions, and networking events.
Taking inspiration from across the globe, Stockholm-quartet Dina Ögon, whose single ‘Tombola 94’ was declared to be Tyler, The Creator’s “favourite song,” will bring their warm blend of airy Nordic pop, soul, bossa nova, and psychedelia to Iceland Airwaves for 2024; performing music from their new album Orion.
Also joining the lineup today is Chicago-born Ravyn Lenae, described by Pitchfork as “a chameleon, adept at blending cushy R&B with her own futurist styles” and will bring material from her new album Bird’s Eye to the festival, accompanied by fellow US rising star Prewn led by Izzy Hagerup, who is also a member of Kevin McMahon’s Pelican Movement collective, and is brought to us by The New Colossus Festival in New York.
We continue our pledge to support Icelandic talent on a global platform by adding some of our most beloved and rising artists, including DJ Margeir (live) feat. Matthildur, whose infamy is forged from ironclad production and blistering DJ sets, Reykjavík grassroots phenomenon Juno Paul, and beloved post-hardcore band Mínus.
SKRATTAR – who describe themselves as “the most dangerous pop band in Iceland” and Sycamore Tree, who have left an indelible mark on the local scene with their enchanting blend of ethereal melodies and modern pop sensibilities. Elsewhere, aptly named South African five-piece The Joy’s unique, genre-transcending sound promises to bring instant euphoria to the festival.
Told you, we’re levitating!
