Studied with minimalist Louis Andriessen and cello with Frances Marie Uitti in Amsterdam after graduating from Reykjavik College of Music. He has composed music for theatre, movies, and symphony orchestras and is a founding member of Todmobile an Icelandic group combining classical elements with pop music. As a teenager, Eythor was a singer in the legendary Tappi Tíkarrass. Eythor will perform a new instrumental album; „The Busy Child“ with a 15-piece string orchestra in Fríkirkjan vith Vikor Orri Árnason conducting. The album is a reflection of human nature and machine superintelligence. All of the strings on the album are played on the cello, there are various pianos, a Rickenbacker bass, and some electronics creating the interplay of human and non-human sounds.
