Lukáš Stara (1979) is the owner of Fleda, one of the biggest and most famous Czech music clubs. Working there for two decades, he and his team transformed it to one of the most notable and important venues in the Central European region. Fléda has become well known for hosting hundreds of international artists including Fontaines D.C., Metronomy, Napalm Death, Public Image Ltd., Against Me!, Peter Hook, Swans, Seafret, Mark Lanegan, Enter Shikari but also electronic artists like Boys Noize, Alva Noto, Vitalic, Max Cooper, Jon Hopkins, Adam Beyer or Siriusmo, while still keeping its independent spirit and supporting the local scene. After the pandemic, Lukáš and his team started to work on new projects that are expanding the Fleda community: Spektrum gallery aimed at sound/visual arts and basement rave club Fraktal, focused on returning to the roots of the true rave movement. All mentioned above is situated in one building which makes this place sort of cultural hub of the city ecosystem. Lukáš is also co-organizer of showcase festival and music conference Reconnect, which takes place partly in Fléda club. Small conference that attracts music professionals from all over the world is slowly gaining further significance in the European music business.
