Holding an MA degree in Culture management and Culture Politics, Vilma has been working in the music industry for more than 10 years. Starting as an intern at Music Export Lithuania/Music Information Centre, later she has gained her experience working as a culture manager at the Popakademie Baden-Württmeberg in Mannheim- the first institution in Germany offering academic degree in popular music and music business. After that she was music program manager at one of the biggest music festivals in the Baltics- „Be2gether“. Since 2016 Vilma is head of projects of the Lithuanian music business association, that seeks to facilitate education and export capacities of the local music industry and to promote its emerging talents abroad – here she manages the program of the showcase festival and conference What’s Next in Music?, is in charge of Lithuania’s participation at international showcase festivals and represents association at various international networks such as EMEE or ESNS Exchange. Vilma was also one of the co-founders and talent booker of the YouTube music channel Sapiens Music. Since 2024 she is the board member of EMEE – European Music Exporters Exchange network.
