Renowned British organist and choral director Roger Sayer brings his exceptional talent to Hallgrímskirkja for a very special performance. Known globally as the organ soloist on Hans Zimmer’s score for Interstellar, Sayer has toured internationally and performed at iconic venues like the Royal Albert Hall and O2 Arena. A celebrated recitalist and former Director of Music at London’s Temple Church, his work spans everything from classical masterworks to video game soundtracks.

Roger Sayer, the original Interstellar organist, brings his extraordinary talent to Reykjavík’s iconic hilltop church for an unforgettable evening of music and atmosphere. Renowned for his 2014 collaboration with Hans Zimmer on one of the most iconic film soundtracks in history, Sayer will perform the Interstellar score live on the organ, showcasing his virtuosity and emotional depth. The program also features The Planets suite by Gustav Holst, promising a powerful journey through sound from one of the UK’s most acclaimed musical voices.
