Mugison releases live recording of new song with Sinfó

Mugison and Sinfó release two versions of new song & video ‘Til Lífsins í Ást’, recorded live at Eldborg, Harpa, in preparation for the Iceland Airwaves 2025 Partner Event.

Icelandic musician Mugison releases two versions of his new single, “Til Lífsins í Ást” with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra (Sinfó), conducted by Bjarni Frímann Bjarnason. Recorded live at Eldborg, Harpa, the song showcases Mugison’s signature blend of intimacy and grandeur, bridging contemporary Icelandic songwriting with the sweeping power of orchestral arrangements.

Listeners will be able to experience the song in two interpretations, highlighting different textures and emotional landscapes, each a testament to the musician’s innovative approach to composition and performance.

In addition, a live video of the performance was released on Iceland Airwaves’ YouTube channel, offering a peek into the visual and musical experience that can be witnessed live during Iceland Airwaves this November.
