Björk and Iceland Airwaves have made the decision to move the first three shows in the concert series Live from Reykjavík to September after recent announcement that the government has re-imposed temporary tougher restrictions on mass gatherings.
In light of recent news on further temporary restrictions in Iceland because of Covid-19 it is clear that some of the Björk Orkestral shows must be rescheduled.
Björk’s fourth and final show on Saturday August 29th has sold out in less than a day. We thank everyone for the warm and positive response to these shows.

Here at Iceland Airwaves – we like to do things a little different. Skipping lunch for a family sized packet of Sport Lakkris, burning the candle in the middle as well as both ends, generally going for it (or as we say here in the IA office: Berjast!).
Last year saw KEXP celebrate 10 incredible years of live sessions from Iceland Airwaves. The sessions have reached listeners and viewers all over the world, with more than 60,000,000 views of the sessions on YouTube alone.
After selling out the Airwaves Plus allocation two weeks ago, we’ve managed to shuffle some things around, shave some bears, sharpen some pencils and eat a whole bag of rotten shark, and we’ve managed to squeeze out an extra (but very limited) allocation of Airwaves Plus upgrades.

For more than 20 years Iceland Airwaves has been about artist discovery. Stars such as Of Monsters and Men, Kaleo, Florence and The Machine, Hot Chip and many others played Iceland Airwaves at the very start of their amazing careers.
We still can’t quite believe that Iceland Airwaves 2018 is over. The festival has progressed through its teens to twenty years or good times and great music.

The party didn’t stop last night! The 20th edition of Iceland Airwaves continued on Thursday with london’s pop collective Superorganism, a raucous performance from Descartes a Kant, internet famous Jimothy Lacoste and much, much more.
The first night of Iceland Airwaves took over Reykjavík in one sweeping tornado of talent. Concluding the day with the latest and greatest artists – here are photos to recap and relive the moment.
