Iceland Airwaves built its reputation as a destination festival not by booking loads of big names, but because it’s the single best place to see the freshest faces on the Icelandic music scene. This year, 32 bands will play Airwaves for the very first time—and The Reykjavík Grapevine have put together a guide to what’s new and who’s who amongst this year’s festival debutantes.

Jockstrap is the duo of 20-year-olds Georgia Ellery and Taylor Skye. Despite being a very new project they're already building up quite the buzz. We asked them a few questions about their music and their trip to Iceland in November.
It’s with regret that due to personal reasons Fever Ray have cancelled their Iceland Airwaves performance, along with all of their other performances this Autumn.
