Airwaves Plus is the special upgrade for the Iceland Airwaves music super fan. It is the way to get plenty of cool benefits while also supporting a good cause:

  • Saves you time queueing for your favourite artists.
  • Gives you a dedicated express check-in and wristband exchange.
  • Give you an Iceland Airwaves goodie bag.
  • Discounts and more for food, drink, merch and various clothing, travel and experiences all over Reykjavík and beyond.
  • Is your Iceland Airwaves ‘consulate’ for the festival week – for information and questions.
  • Special Airwaves Plus bars at selected venues.

How do I get Airwaves Plus?

  • Airwaves Plus is an upgrade and does not give access to the festival without a ticket.
  • You can buy it in addition to a regular pass, Press, or Airwaves Pro. Airwaves Plus is non-refundable.
  • Before buying your Airwaves Plus upgrade you need to purchase a regular Iceland Airwaves ticket.
  • Without a regular ticket your Airwaves Plus will be invalid.
  • Airwaves Plus upgrades are strictly limited and available on a first come, first served basis.

Airwaves Plus gives back

1.000 ISK from each Airwaves Plus upgrade goes to the Airwaves Plus Fund*, supporting the Icelandic music stars of the future.

​*What is the Airwaves Plus fund?

Iceland Airwaves has been an integral part of many artist’s early steps in their careers, giving them a platform to perform before industry, media and fans from the around the world.

Iceland Airwaves wants to to support directly emerging showcase Icelandic Artists beyond the festival itself.

3 bands will be given an equal share of the fund towards the next steps in their career  – studio time, travel, recording, promotion.

  • 1 band will be chosen by Iceland Airwaves.
  • 1 band will be selected by a committee of local and international industry experts.
  • 1 band will be voted for by public vote.

The winners will be announced after Iceland Airwaves 2019 and will be invited to return to Iceland Airwaves 2020.
