We are just 19 days away from the start of our festival and we have so many more exciting things to share with you! “First things first” has never been so hard, let’s try—meet our new industry stars who are joining our conference!

As Senior Manager for the Reeperbahn Festival’s music program in Hamburg, Ariane Mohr brings her deep expertise in cultural studies and event organization to one of Europe’s most renowned music festivals. She’s been curating the festival’s eclectic lineup since 2018, driving the discovery of new sounds and talents.

With a roster of globally successful indie and alternative artists, Peter McGaughrin is a leading figure at Red Light Management and co-founder of Chess Club Records. His extensive career spans major labels and artist management, with a strong foundation in music law.

With over 30 years in the creative industries, Anna Hildur Hildibrandsdóttir has been a trailblazer, transitioning from journalism to running Icelandic and Nordic music export initiatives, and now leading the BA in Creative Industries at Bifröst University. She’s also an award-winning documentary producer-director.

A key figure in Reykjavík’s experimental music scene, Pan Thorarensen is the driving force behind the Extreme Chill Festival and a prolific composer and producer. His work with the ambient trio Stereo Hypnosis, alongside his father, has shaped the landscape of Icelandic electronic music

As a project manager for Iceland Music, Anna Rut has played a pivotal role in the success of Icelandic music events, from Iceland Airwaves to the Reykjavik Arts Festival. Her expertise spans PR campaigns, festival management, and nurturing local music talent.

A journalist and cultural advocate, Josie Anne Gaitens writes for Iceland Review and collaborates with creative organizations across Iceland and internationally. Her passion for Iceland’s cultural capital drives her work as a key member of the Hafnar.haus community
