We’re once again thrilled to provide a stage to three of our showcase partners! This time Wise Music, Keychange, and FUGA will be showcasing an amazing line-up for all of us to enjoy. It keeps getting better!
SHOWCASING FOR WISE MUSIC
HUGAR, HÖGNI, FRANS BAK, KONX-OM-PAX
The duo Hugar’s sweepingly multi-layered and ethereally ambient music takes you on a trip to places you didn’t even know existed. Then there’s Högni, does he even need an introduction? Aside from rocking it in Hjaltalín and GusGus, he is one of Iceland’s best contemporary musical writers.
Frans Bak is a highly accomplished Danish composer, receiving international critical acclaim for his compositions for many successful international series (maybe you’ve seen ‘The Killer’ or ‘Lillehammer’?). Glasgow-based composer and visual Artist Konx-Om-Pax brings and hazy memories of 90s rave music, but with dreamier soundscapes.
KEYCHANGE ARTISTS AT ICELAND AIRWAVES
MOYKA, PASTICHE, FREDDIE LEWIS
We’re proud of our collaboration with Keychange to represent the underrepresented!
Moyka will provide us with catchy pop songs and artistic synth sequences that make you feel like life is a movie. Brazen, fiery and memorable Dubliner Pastiche will perform. Rising artist Freddie Lewis’ thought-provoking lyricism, infectious hooks, and genuine emotion are a guarantee to get you groovin’.
FUGA ARTISTS PERFORMING
KRISTIN SESSELJA, MORGAN SAINT, MATILDA LYN, VARAS, AND DANIELLA BINJAMYN
Those who’ve seen the Icelandic Eurovision last year may recognise Kristin Sesselja, thehyper-talented musical poet whose songs are bound to strike a chord.
Songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and creative Morgan Saint disregards any and all boundaries with a provocative, passionate, and powerful perspective on pop. We can’t wait to dance to it.
Matilda Lyn is an assured and accomplished songwriter, musician, vocalist and producer and has a canny knack for putting concise and wry words to the aches and pains of coming of age. Contemporary indie musician Varas leaves a mark on you with each song. Daniella Benyamin brings alternative and cinematic pop, both powerful and fragile, with a focus storytelling.
Seriously, you don’t want to miss this. Score your ticket!
